Bonjour! I am Lauren, a 25-year-old French teacher living in the marvelous wine city of Bordeaux. Ever since I was a kid, I have been passionate about languages and I teach and speak fluently French, English and Spanish.
I am currently learning Portuguese and Thai. Being a learner myself, I know very well how challenging it can be and I use my personal experience to become a better teacher every day.
Why you should pick me as your French teacher?
I was born in Bordeaux, where we have a very neutral French accent, which means I am easy to understand and I will help you achieve the "parfaite" pronunciation. I love to share the best French movies, books, series, and songs with my students. So if you want to know why we love cheese so much or to learn some funny slang, start learning with me!
I have been working with all types of students: kids, teenagers, refugees, jobseekers, lawyers etc. Whatever the level of my students, my method remains the same: cultivate their curiosity and their desire to learn. I build my lessons according to your tastes to speed up your progression and to make your learning process easy and fun (even for grammar). Politics, culture, science, I am curious about every topic and I always try to tie the content of my classes with what is going on in the world. This way you won't only learn a language, you will also expand your general knowledge.
I have visited more than 25 countries and worked in France, Spain, Cambodia, and even Ecuador. Through my international experience, I have learned to adapt to any personality, unexpected situations or cultures. Whether you want to sound like a true Parisian when ordering a coffee or start a business in Madagascar, I am here to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
I hold a Master's degree in International affairs and Economics from Sciences Po Bordeaux. Throughout my studies, I had to pass highly selective exams and job interviews. I can provide you with excellent advice and tips to write an impressive cover letter in French, to prepare for a language test or to get you ready for an interview. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my student succeed!
