Je m'appelle Juliette et je viens de Bordeaux, dans le Sud-ouest de la France.
I’m passionate about travelling and meeting new people. Being a French as a foreign language teacher gave me the opportunity to work and live in different countries all over the world! I feel so grateful for that. Today, I live on an island called Moorea, in French Polynesia. Unfortunately, there are not so many foreigners. Working online gives me the opportunity to continue teaching, which I love and miss, while staying on the island. I love nature, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking.
I graduated in 2014 with a Master in Teaching French as a foreign language. I am a passionate teacher! I can spend hours creating resources. I also love grammar (Oh, come on! Don’t run! Grammar can be fun!). I love to find the best way to introduce a grammar point. I use colors, tables, I create games to practice. I try to make it clear and fun. We do exercises, yes, but always in order to communicate and interact afterwards. That’s your objective, right ?
I am also convinced that if you don’t speak, you don’t make progress. So be ready to talk and debate! But don’t worry, I won’t ask you to do something you’re not capable of.
Usually, the lesson starts with some revisions of the previous lesson (of the vocabulary and the different objectives). Then we continue or go on with a new objective.
I use the inductive way as much as I can. It means that we build the lesson together. For example, I show sentences using a specific grammar point, and together we describe the rule(s). Once everything seems clear in your head, let’s practice! (firstly with writing exercises to check that you understood and then oral exercises : discussions or games).
What matters to me the most is that you spend a good time learning. If you have any question, come and ask me! I’d be happy to answer.
