Hello guys I am Shuge (sounds like sugar lol)
A rational optimist, amateur historian, die-hard libertarian, feminist.
graduated from a top university in China majoring 【Chinese Language and Literture】 but I am planning to do computer science master degree in Canada. I had exchang experience in Taiwan and Edinburgh where I gain experience to teach Chinese (include Acient Chinese ) in English to students arround the world.
✔The most valuable part of my lesson is showing you the history behind every Chinese character---Why acient Chinese people create them in this way? It can help get better undertanding of Chinese language and culture.
✔ For each of our lesson, I will make a google doc notes and homework for you to review what we'v learnt today. There's no need to worry about taking notes and just focus on our lesson to disgest as much as possible.
✔ For 【Beginners】, good pronunciation could lay solid foundation for futher Chinese learning. Howevery that not the whole picture, for beginners interesting culture will be introduced in our teaching include the morden online Chinese and acient Chinese culture.
✔ For【Intermediate students】, I would like to offer you reallife-oriented task, for example, suppose that you are studying in Guihua middle school and you have a friend come over to visit your school. On the map, mark the place you'd like to show him and we can do role play for conversation.
✔ For【Advanced students】, Either you are HSK driven or adademic-oriented, I 'd like to give my in lesson in seperate 4 part. As for me, listening should be focus on Hypernym and Hyponym for which I'd to make a map include all potential keywords together with you. Reading ask for a skill of long sentence analysising which help you find the subject/predicate and object immediately to catch the meaning of sentence. Writing is my best part and I have high reputation on essay and novel writing in my Uni. Logic is the first point we need focus on writing and then dive into the detailed content.
✔For those who like【informal conversation】, I am still reallife-oriented. For example you and Xiaohua work in a department store, and Xiaohua is talking to a customer who wants to return a coffeemakker he bought here. But he doesn't have receipt, how should you deal with the situation?
