Hi. Welcome to my profile. I am Farah and I am a professional English teacher for 9 years in this field in the Philippines and South Korea but also taught different nationalities not only in physical classrooms but also in virtual classes. I am currently residing in South Korea as an English instructor to adults learners. If you are here to learn and brush up on your skills, whether it be speaking fluency on daily conversations, academic subjects, pronunciation, grammar, job interviews or even test preparation courses like IELTS and TOEFL, you are more than welcome to join in. In class, you will learn to speak comfortably and much more speaking time will be given for you. I only cater to speaking and writing classes for both TOEFL and IELTS. So why not book a trial lesson with me? Leave a message stating your target skills. With that, I can tailor a relevant lesson that will cater to your immediate needs. Looking forward to working with you.
Hi, my name's Art, I started teaching ESL 34 years ago in Salamanca Spain, then continued part-time while also teaching Spanish as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where I received an M.A. in Hispanic Literature in 1988. I left another career about 8 years ago when my Venezuelan wife and I moved back to her home country, and there I also happily returned to my first career of teaching ESL. I began teaching there at the university level at the Universidad Arturo Michelena, but then realized I felt called to tutoring one student at a time. In March, at the urging of the US embassy in Venezuela, my wife and I returned to the USA. The good news for students is that we have 100-122 Mega speed internet so the audio and video are of excellent quality! ---Many of my students were/are preparing for TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, NATO, or Trinity exams etc. so I have experience helping there. I got to module 3 of 5 with the ICAL TEFL institute based in London for certification in TEFL, but then realized that those courses are aimed primarily at classroom teaching methods, and have little relevance to one-on-one tutoring. If you want to know my qualifications, I suggest reading the comments of my students. They are the best judges of tutor quality. If you need help with exam preparation, CV editing, job interviews, pronunciation, presentations, etc. I'd be glad to help. Best of luck to you in your English studies, and remember never get discouraged. The key is hard work, and lots of patience and determination. Cheers!

I'm an English teacher from Chicago, U.S.A. and I've been teaching English for the past seven years in the United States, India, Russia, and Germany. I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I speak with a Standard American English accent. However, I've taught both British English and American English and I can explain the differences. I'm very enthusiastic about languages and I have studied German, Russian, and Farsi. I love grammar, but if you aren't interested in grammar, then I'm happy to create a course with your preferences in mind! Whether you're preparing for IELTS exams or the TOEFL exam or just learning English for fun, I can help you with your goals. I look forward to working with you!
*** CURRENTLY TAKING ON NEW STUDENTS*** My name is Chris, I’m from London, England, and I love teaching English as a foreign language! I'm a professional teacher who has been teaching since 2012 and I want to make your English learning experience unique and get you to fluency as quickly as possible. After years of experience, research and listening to student’s feedback, I believe that there are 5 principles that make you learn languages fast and effectively: 1. CUSTOMISATION - Learn what you want to learn and get personalised feedback from a professional at the end of a class and in a video within 24 hours of your class. 2. MAKING MISTAKES WITH DELAYED ERROR CORRECTION - Build up your confidence and fluency and find out what wasn’t correct later. Repeat your corrected sentences and vocabulary after class with an audio track. 3. MAXIMISING SPEAKING TIME - Maximise your precious class time by speaking as much as possible and get to fluency more quickly. 4. MOTIVATION - Keep your excitement for learning and avoid those moments when you feel bored of learning. 5. ACCELERATED LEARNING TECHNIQUES - Let me use my skills, activities and games to make your progress quickly in an area of English you are weak in. I’d love to see you in a class if you are considering taking classes with me, and I’d be very happy to help you on your journey into the world English. I’ve had some wonderful first classes and met so many great people throughout the world since I’ve started teaching online, and I’d be delighted if you were one of them. Most people understand what the trial lesson is, but it’s not always clear to everyone. Please just look at the points below to check you know what you are booking. Before your first session starts please consider the following: - Using a microphone with earphones or a headset will give much better sound quality to your lesson. Using computer speakers will probably result in echoing. - Google Chrome seems to be the best browser for Verbling Video. - Doing a test call on Skype with a friend or family member will give you a good idea of how strong your connection is, and if it is sufficient for a class on Verbling. If the speech isn't clear, try turning off the camera. If the speech still isn't clear, try to reconnect. If you are still having problems, upgrade your internet connection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE TRAIL LESSON IS: - A 30 minutes introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how the lessons work. - An opportunity for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a plan for your learning goals. - A way to test your internet connection - Occasionally the connection can be problematic for some new online students. - A way to get to know each other. THE TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A cheap way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is focussed on the areas in which you need to improve. - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. Of course, if you decide that I am not the right teacher after the class and you wish to find another teacher then that is perfectly fine. N.B. I exercise the right to accept or refuse to give lessons to certain individuals.
My name is Todd. I started teaching because of my love of traveling and learning about other people's cultures. I was born in Cincinnati, OH. So if you study with me, you would be learning English from a Native-English speaker. I graduated from the International TEFL Academy where I earned my certification to teach English as a foreign language. In addition to Teaching, I am also an Artist. I love to paint and draw. I use these skills in my lessons. I enjoy the creativity of designing exercises and activities. It is my belief that the more senses that are involved in the learning process; the more English will be understood and easily grasped.
