Hello. I am Patrick, a language geek from Mayo County in Ireland. I've taught several languages for many years (English, French, Spanish, Irish Gaelic, and Canarian Whistle Language, also known as Silbo), and would love the opportunity to help more people to learn to speak Gaelic CORRECTLY, as currently most teachers teach wrong pronunciations, and therefore there is now an epidemic of Gaelic being learnt downright inaccurately, unfortunately. I have a degree in Arts and a Higher Diploma in Education (Ard Dioplóma in Oideachas) through the medium of Gaelic, in Galway University. Previous to this I had been employed in a group (Glór Mhaigh Eo) dedicated to the preservation, promotion and enrichment of Gaelic spoken in Mayo, my native region of Ireland. I look forward to helping folk learn, and to rectifying some of the mistakes made by others who teach Gaelic using English phonemes, therefore completely compromising its phonetic integrity for those students. I would be happy to help you in Verbling, while in the process helping to spread and improve the acquisition of a minority language very close to my heart. Best wishes, Patrick.
